Information We Collect
When you make a booking, we collect the following information:
- Name and email address — to confirm your booking and send receipts
- Phone number — to send a one-time SMS verification code and contact you about your rental
- Driver's license details — required for the rental agreement
- Insurance information — to verify coverage during the rental period
- Home address (optional) — for the rental contract
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Process and manage your vehicle rental booking
- Verify your identity via email and SMS verification codes
- Communicate with you about your reservation (confirmations, reminders, changes)
- Process payments and refunds
- Comply with legal obligations related to vehicle rentals
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Your mobile information will not be sold to, shared with, or transferred to third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
SMS/Text Messages
When you provide your phone number during booking, we send a one-time SMS verification code to confirm your phone number. This is the only text message we send.
- Message frequency: One message per booking (verification code only)
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier
- Opt out: Reply STOP to any message to opt out
- Help: Reply HELP for assistance, or email us at the address below
Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchase. You may complete your booking using email verification alone if you prefer not to receive text messages.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your personal data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate:
- Stripe — payment processing (subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy)
- Telnyx — SMS delivery for verification codes
- Amazon SES — email delivery for confirmations and verification codes
These services receive only the minimum information required to perform their function (e.g., Telnyx receives your phone number and the verification code, nothing else).
Data Retention
We retain your booking information for as long as needed to fulfill the rental agreement and comply with legal recordkeeping requirements. Verification codes expire after 10 minutes and are not stored after use. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your session during the booking process (e.g., keeping your selected dates and vehicle while you fill in your details). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
